For a long time I thought I should always wait at least 10 years of ageing to enjoy a great Bordeaux wine.
10 years to let tannins and oakiness flavors to merge together with the wines to make them at their best!
Well, a recent experience showed me that everything is possible! Even when it comes to Bordeaux wines!
What a great surprise I had with an amazing 2014 Bordeaux. The winery is called Domaine de l’A. The owner is a famous wine consultant in Bordeaux : Stéphane Derenoncourt.
I really enjoyed this wine for its elegant and vibrant fruity flavors. Not over-oaked like most young red Bordeaux.
The grapes (merlot and cabernet franc) come from an appellation almost unknown in Bordeaux – Castillon, Côtes de Bordeaux – but where the best terroirs are the same as its close neighbor : Saint-Emilion.
So check out the video below and if you can find one bottle : just go ahead 🙂
